We used to have to hold up a friend’s phone to achieve proper lighting levels while taking a picture of the food we were about consume. Thanks to Kickstarter, this will soon be a thing of the past. On a more serious note, the Kick is going to refresh the act of taking a picture with your phone. It allows you the set the lighting levels via the device itself or, if you pick up the wifi model, via wifi using an app on your iPhone. It even allows you to sample and replicate the lighting conditions by just tapping on the screen. I would highly recommend you check out the video and see if this will fulfill your needs. Imagine using this for a Lego stop motion Star Wars video…
